A Blurb About the Unknown Village (see pics below)

Having found this little unknown hotel, it was like something out of the movie "the birds" from Hitchcock. As we pulled on our bikes and in the support vehicle, birds of all kind (pigeons, crows) flocked to all the trees around the hotel making their squeeling noises. While some had a nap and others went exploring, Mick and Leo tightened up a few nuts and bolts on the bikes before we headed to the next door restaurant for goulash and shishlek (only thing we could translate). A young fellow who was studying in Moscow and working in a nearby area came over to our group and offered us salted fish. This is something that they eat with beer which to us leaves a bad aftertaste. Leaving the restaurant Carmen and I were chatting outside when a red station wagon with trailer pulled up asking us "working girls?" We looked at each other and giggled as he thought we were local prostitutes. Our compliment for the day. After we were done laughing hysterically, we went next door which was a fish shop where they had fish of every kind (smoked catfish to salmon). Being a non local, he offered a smoked fish for free (we are unsure if this was payment or a bribe for any services since this was out second best offer of the evening being the "working girls" that we are.
