It's been awhile. Welcome to my new website

It's been over 10 years since I have added a post to this blog. 10 years in the making of trying to put pen to paper and write about my once in a lifetime motorcycle trip around the world which is suppose to be out in ebook format this month, December 2022 with the actual book following within a few weeks after that

I have always wanted to write a book about this trip, not only to share my love of motorcycle riding and adventures with other fellow riders in the hopes they share their stories with me. But also to share some of the valuable insights I learned that riding over 37,000  kms in four months taught me which might serve and help others live their best life and live their dream too.

In my book I share 10 Universal Laws that I feel were at play in getting me on this trip around the world and I believe exist they in our everyday life that, if we tap into them, will help us live our dreams. In the introduction of the book, I talk about the Magic of 30 days which I believe is all you need to put your dream into action and start living it.

The one major lesson that I learned is there is a lot of propaganda in the world which drives news, fuels responses and negative reactions. It is another reason why I want to create a positive space that drives and propels forward momentum to help you in your journey to live your dream. Just like the generosity of spirit of the many people along the roads we travelled who gave a helping hand to keep us going toward the goal of finishing our trip along the Road of Bones in Russia. This is the true nature of people underneath fear, insecurity, ego, power and control. To love and be loved, to give and to receive, to teach and be taught, to live and let live, to forgive and be forgiven, to trust and be trustworthy, to dream and to become the person you are meant to be.

Day 3: The Road of Bones

The old Road of Bones bridge that was seen in the movie, "Long Way Around".

Another shot from a distance. It is still impassable.

Making our way along thick gravel and snow spots.

Murray heading in front of me.
Mick MacDonald at Murrays' bike with Pat standing at his BMW 650 Dakar and Joe on the left. Lots of thick gravel along the road.
We are all having a rest stop. I got rid of my boots and was given another pair by Mick T. as the duck tape was no longer holding it together so they got tossed here.

Mick T. on the right with me on the right facing the road before us.
Follow the leader with Patrick in front followed by Mick T. and then me.
I don't like ice! The road started to get steep and a few of us had just fallen off.
"I'm down!" Leo, Mick T. and Patrick help me get my bike back up on the ice.Murray, Isaac and Patrick in the foreground going slowly on the ice and Joe in the
front with me to the right of Joe.
All of us trying to find the less slippery part of the road to ride on. We all went very slowly.
Joe's down. Murray's helping him get back up. I'm in the distance with my feet down and gliding along the road to check how slippery it is.
Murray just getting to Joe to help.
All of us in formation heading through the snowy and icy mountains.Stopping to rest before continuing on.
A Russian truck trying to pass as we try to make our way by on the slippery roads.
All of us helping each other on the roads.
An old wooden bridge very slippery and covered in snow that we had to cross. Siberia is really picturesque and the roads were pretty snow covered.
A closer look at the bridge.
A look at the road from the Toyota Landcruiser.
Me on my bike. Underneath the mask there may be a look of fear from the icy roads (or not but perhaps a smile as this was an adventure).

Isaac and Joe became good friends on this trip. Hopefully friends for life.
Pat had been hit by a snowball from Leo. He tried to duck to miss it but it got him in the neck. Pretty cold.
Leo winding up for the shot. Patrick has no clue he has a snowball.
All of us making our way along the road of bones in the snow.
Another shot. Joe is the one that's closest to see.

We are all riding together after having just taken off from a stop.
A pit stop for everyone. It does pay to be a man as you can see there really aren't bushes for women but trees that are starting to look barren.Isaac crossing one of the few paved bridges.

Mick MacDonald having just crossed the paved bridge and waving.
A distant shot of Mick MacDonald crossing the paved bridge.
A more picturesque shot of the paved bridge with Mick MacDonald approaching it from the left in the distance.
Leo standing at the edge of the mountain side with no barricades. Just looking straight down.
Mick MacDonald doing Siberian switchbacks.Isaac posing for a beautiful shot of Siberia with the bridge in the background

A look at the road surface along the mountain.
Most of the bridges were snow covered, icy and wooden.

Another picturesque shot looking over Siberia.

The only guard rails were small mounds of rock. If not careful, one could still go over the edge.
Making our way along the mountain ridge. Isaac and Joe in the picture.
Isaac crossing one of the many snowy, icy, wooden bridges.Isaac from the back as he crosses the wooden bridge. Look at the condition of the bridge and the heavy gravel before getting on the bridge which made riding slow going.
One of the few shots of Joe and Carmen together. What a nice couple. She's wearing her Yak sweater from Mongolia.

Leo standing in front of the sign that says, "Magadan - 1430 kms".
A beautiful shot of all of us heading toward the snowy mountains.
A look at the road as we approached the mountains.
We all cross another of the few paved bridges.
Taking down the cook tent as we get ready to leave for Day 3 of riding on "The Road of Bones".

All of us have our assigned duties down to a science and everyone chips in.
Carmen wrote "Siberia 2010" in the sand next to the stream that flowed next to our campsite.
A look at our campsite with the mountains in the background. We are all getting ready to take our tents down.

A beautiful picture of the small stream and mountains that we viewed from our campsite.
Isaac's bike next to the Troopie and my tent behind.
Another look at our campsite with Murray's bike in the foreground, Isaac in the back looking out over the beautiful mountains. It was cold as observed by the snow on the tents.
